Anybody with a new chevy or ram with integrated brake controller have any problems with the dexter electric over hydraulic disc brake? Going to order new trailer and would like to get this setup, but was told by dexter that there system don't work well with the factory brake controller. Thanks

I have a 2013 Chevy with integrated brake control. The controller works fine for my PJ 14K trailer. I never checked the trailer brakes since I bought it off the lot from stock. I will have to double check the trailer when I get home to see if it has disc or drum brakes. I'm guessing the dealer ordered drum. If it has disc I will reply back.

George2615 how do you like that PJ 22 ft? I am looking for a 22 ft tilt deckover and I've seen one made by PJ . Need 14K rating.

Fat Tire,
I like the trailer a lot. Only dislike is the removable fenders. They can be removed for easier side loading but not easily. They are bolted on which requires you to carry a tool set around and the tail lights in the fender must be removed to get them off also. Fortunately the trailer is long enough to side load without fender removal or can just tilt and load from the back. Of course you wouldn't have to worry about that with a deck over. I only needed a 10K but they had the 14K in stock when I was looking.

HK45, I checked and my brakes are drum. If I had ordered the trailer instead of buying off the lot I would have gone with disc brakes. Never had a trailer with discs so would have been nice to try.

Thanks for the feedback. I'd like to find a used one, but that's not looking too likely, especially because I'm firmly set on the length, deckover, and GVWR. Could go to ramps, but thinking tilt would be really nice.

No experience with GM but they work great with our Fords.

Power Tilt decks are really nice but do add a premium (about 2k more than a ramp trailer) to the price.
Used ones are practically non-existent. Longer decks are a rarity also. I found lots of used 16-18' standard trailers with ramps but none over 20'. I looked a long time for my 7K tilt before buying new then outgrew that 9 years later. Only trailer buying advice I can give the OP is to buy larger, longer, and more capacity than you need with the options you want so you only need to buy it once.

I don't have electric over hydraulics, just electrics but this is what the RAM's owners' manual has to say about the factory brake controller and electric over hydraulic brakes;

"Integrated Trailer Brake Module — If Equipped
Your vehicle may have an Integrated Trailer Brake Module (ITBM) for Electric and Electric Over Hydraulic
(EOH) trailer brakes.
NOTE: This module has been designed and verified with
electric trailer brakes and new electric over hydraulic
systems. Some previous EOH systems may not be compatible with ITBM."
