My 2011 F series is dead: nothing electrical works. I found two burned 25 amp fuses in each of the two fuse boxes in the cab with the computer icon. Replaced the fuses but still nothing.
Right before the meltdown I was using my winch to pull out a mower. The winch is fed directly from the battery. The wich stopped and everything went dead. Any suggestions?

What is the voltage reading at the battery posts?

Check the 100 amp mega fuse. It is next to the battery.

Thanks. The only problem is how do I get to the battery, on the 5600 it is below the bed and I am not sure how to lift it without power.

Open the door to the engine and measure it on the starter solenoid.

I have a 5610, don't know how to lift the bed on a 5600.

Thanks Xfaxman,
I have 12 V at the starter solenoid, but all electrical systems are off. Any suggestion?

Farman, you were right, it was the 100 amp fuse. The winch can draw up to 300 amp under load so that is what did it.
Thanks. TL

Good, glad you found it.

Glad things worked out. A couple of Public Service Announcements for owners of 5600's:
1) Have extra 100 Amp megafuses around. They are relatively cheap. IIRC, you don't need to get them from Bobcat. Digikey, Mouser Electronics, and/or Newark would be potential sources.
2) Learn how to raise the bed when the TC won't run.

Spudgunner: how do you raise the bed without power? I got to the battery and the 100 A fuse by removing the side panel. Is there a better way?
Thanks TL

To get to the battery and fuse by removing the side panel is probably the best/safest route to implement that fix. But what if the belt that goes between your engine crank and the main hydraulic pump breaks? I'd be thinking of ways to get that box up and secured in that case. When that happened to me I used a come-along, straps, a bungee on that lever in the cab that controls bed lift, and one of the well-supported truss chords in my shop to lift the box. But before you can lift with the come-along, the matter of the two hydraulic bed lift cylinders needs to be addressed. Suffice it to say that the bed needs to be empty and use of that built-in orange safety support on one of the bed cylinders is absolutely necessary after the bed is raised.
