Yes, I did drive one. And I didn't like it at all. It had little tiny tires and it felt like I was driving a pop can. Hit a chuck hole and my teeth rattled. I didn't feel safe in it as it at all. I thought about it, sat down and wrote out how much I would save in gas(only about $500 for the year), no savings in insurance, more for plates and depreciation, etc... and I found it would be more economical for me to fix up my beater truck. Of course, it would waste more gas and cause more pollution. I really do have mixed emotions about it. Sooo, we kept our Cavalier and beater 3/4 ton truck and made special plans to consolidate trips in the car and use the big truck as little as possible. It worked out well and I got to spend more time with my wife while commuting. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Wait till they find out you have a boat, or a finished basement, or frozen pizza, etc... property taxes stink! Ooops. Don't want to go down that road too far, but keeping it related to tractors... has anybody been property taxed on their tractor yet?

You know, I was thinking of that. It would be fun. But it will be a few years until everything is ready(plumbing, running water and refrigeration are the 3 key principles for a decent get-together /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif). "Hey, honey. I'm invinting over a few people I met on the internet and some are bringing their tractors. Good thoughts. However, some of us put it on ourselves. We move out to the suburbs and have to drive everywhere. The blame goes to our own choice of lifestyles. I'm not lecturing anyone, as I do it myself. To minimize the impact on the environment, my wallet and my family, we try to consolidate our car trips for several reasons. It saves us lots of money. We get to spend more time together. And it saves lots of gas and cuts down on pollution. We take the car as much as possible because it gets double the gas mileage of our full sized van. With 11 & 6 year old daughters, we have lots of running to do, but we plan it out to minimize the total milleage. For instance, we have several activities on weeknights. They could easily be 5 short trips totaling about 20 miles. By consolidating them and just waiting in a parking lot for 10-15 minutes a couple of times, we cut them down to one 5 mile trip total. And we get to spend time reading a book with the kids or watching them at sports practice, etc...

With the Power Trac, I can get so many jobs done so fast, it also helps save fuel and impact on the environment. Sounds corney, but it's true. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
