Electric utility vehicle - club car?

I think I paid around $2500 for mine used. It came with a back seat that folds down into a utility bed. Then I bought a second set of tires and wheels that are very aggressive off-road style for I think somewhere around three or 400 bucks. The better tires and wheels were definitely worth the money standard golf cart slicks aren't worth a crap if there's any snow. It pretty much looked like new when I bought it. I have replaced the original set of batteries about three years ago. I think that cost me 800.00. You wouldn't believe some of the stuff it will go through or over but we also added a cheap Harbor freight wench that we had laying around just in case. Seems like the perfect thing for general maintenance around the property but if you're looking for something to take off roading on the weekends or definitely need 4 x 4 this is not the tool for the job.

I think my last set of batteries was was just under $800. (5 years ago) Trojan batteries last the longest. During the summer it gets up to 110˚ here so my batteries take a beating. On the average I charge my batteries one night a week - using the cart an average of an hour a day. Taking the cost of batteries compared to gas it is a small premium upgrade to run with no exhaust & silent.

How much is spent on fuel per month on a gas or diesel?

Yamaha, which has both gas and electric golf carts, has come out with a yearly cost of operating comparison, they say:
Electric = $171
Gas = $130
They did not go into details of what it included.

The model I have been looking at is a Yamaha Adventure 2+2 electric AC. No additions, revisions, AT tires or raise kit or fender guards needed for the farm. All factory included.

The only accessories I can think of are a hitch and a cargo caddy (for on top of the fold down rear seats)

I have a gas UTV now, but had an electric before. Actually, it’s still taking up room in the garage. The only issue I had with the electric is with the very steep hills I have around here. It handles them fine, but it runs the batteries down a lot faster than more “normal” terrain. With having to run back and forth to the house from all over the farm, gas is just a better option for me. If your property is fairly flat, or if you just want a nice quiet machine to ride around the property, electric is the way to go. If you have a lot of steep hills or heavy duty work to do with it, electric will probably disappoint eventually. The maintenance is simple, as noted. Not sure how anyone could think that plugging something in once a day is too much. There’s also not a lot that can go wrong with them, and if something does it’s easy to figure out.
