One other thing I would note is in my garage my floor slopes about a 1/2" per foot to the door. If I pull in the glass is completely filled and if I back in there's no oil visable.

Good new on the Mahindra e Max 22 HST s, the trans/axle heating up. The housing was just a little over filled, enough to go over sight glass. Drain a little out, ran for an hour or so, and took temp. readings. The highest reading was 162F, that seems normal for a new machine and this time of year. So thanks to everyone out there who gave me suggestions.

FWIW, my eMax25 was WAY overserviced when new. I even mentioned several times that I can't see anything in the sight glass. Don't know if it's overfilled or underfilled. "Oh, those things are useless, oil level is fine, we checked".

Noticed the same thing about it being really hot.
Finally took a chance and just opened up the drain plug. Drained nearly 2 gallons of oil out of it before it was down to the sight glass!
Seems to be ok now, but those hydraulic fittings still get **** hot no matter what. The one for the FEL really needs some kind of cage guard over it!

Based on the experience with my dad's eMax 25 HST the Hydrostatic oil level should be close to the red dot in the center of the sight glass when the tractor and oil are cool.
