Hello everyone. Got an issue with my emax 22 im hoping someone has some insight on. Yesterday i was using it and It suddenly started idling low (approx 1000-1100rpm) while i was putting stuff in the bucket. I got back on the machine and it stumbled when i opened the throttle. I tried giving more throttle and then it suddenly ran normal again. I finished what i was doing and shut it off. At this point the engine had only run for a few minutes from a cold start (about 85 degrees outside) and probably wasnt even up to operating temp when it started this. About 2hrs later I attempted to restart and it would only do low idle and die if i tried to give it any throttle. I was able to put it in low range and limp it back to shed and had to restart it about every 10 seconds or so. And of course once i got it back in the shed it started operating normally again. I tried restarting it several times and giving it throttle and it acted as if nothing was wrong. I opened the bleeder and there is plenty of fuel flow to the injector pump, and my filter is clean and not full of water. I checked all fuses and wiring and all apears ok from the quick look i gave it. Im suspecting it is an issue with a sensor or something but so far havent been able to determine the root cause. This machine is rather “smart” as it has a computer that will restrict power/speed if it detects a problem such as coolant temp or oil pressure or overspeed, etc and i suspect that is what’s happening here. The radiator is full of coolant, battery voltage is good, glow plugs are working, all fuses are good. Because of this, and from what ive read, the ecu can actually limit throttle using the device that looks like fuel shutoff solenoid to prevent or minimize damage to engine. Only problem is figuring out what the actual problem is. It was showing 4 long flashes followed by 4 short flashes on the “check engine” light. I called my dealer and he says there is no such code for those flashes, BUT i can bring it in and they can hook it up to their scanner and read codes but he said that they usually arent stored in memory for long, and sometimes will only show codes when the problem is actually happening which is no good for someone who is experiencing an intermittent problem like me. So to that end, i guess im gonna start checking the sensors and etc, but wouldnt mind knowing if anyone else had this problem and what the solution is, or what i may be looking at for ohm readings etc when i try to check or test the sensors or switches and fuel solenoid/activator
