- 2019 Mahindra Emax25, 1969 Ford 4000
My 2019 Emax 25 Cab suffered from smoke and excessive diesel fumes to the point that we
couldn't use it. Our clothes would reek of diesel. Another issue was lack of cab heat. I suspected
the engine was not getting hot enough and not burning fuel. We had only used it a couple times
and since we were still waiting for the snowblower, we just parked it until the dealer picked it up.
Now, my dealer has had my tractor for 2 weeks and here's what they discovered about the
smoke, fumes, and no heat, from Mahindra. All Emax tractors are shipped here without cabs
and there's a company that installs the cabs for Mahindra. My dealer doesn't know who the
installer is. Mahindra has a cooling system kit that is supposed to be installed with the cab. This
installer company has a history, known to Mahindra, to ship Emax cab tractors without the
cooling system kit, when their supply of kits runs out. My dealer found all this out yesterday.
They have my Emax, another customer's Emax, and one in their lot, missing kits. To top it off,
there are no cooling system kits available at the moment, so my dealer's service techs are fabricating a kit for
my Emax and I should have it back next week. When they get a kit, they'll put that on my Emax.
So, that's the story. If you have an Emax with a cab and it smokes, reeks of diesel, and no cab
heat, contact your dealer about the cooling system kit. Hope this helps others.
