Enabling motion match/load match switches

Hello everyone,

A couple years ago I as part of a transmission problem the instrument cluster was changed out on my 3720 cab tractor. Ever since that service was performed the load match switch to the left of the steering wheel and the motion match switch on the right hand console no longer work. I've gathered through reading various post that the instrument cluster needs to be programmed to recognize these switches as they were an option at the time of purchase. Does anyone know the procedure to enable these functions or is this something I need to take back to the dealer? It's been a couple years of these switches not working and I've learned to use the procedure of going through the prompts in the instrument cluster, but would like to use the switches I payed extra for once again. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Seems to me that if any reprogramming was necessary, it should have been included as part of the cluster replacement. But after waiting two years to bring it up, it's highly unlikely your dealer will remedy this without charge.

It's definitely an issue I should have brought up when the tractor was delivered back to me. I honestly didn't realize that the buttons were not working for some time after I got the unit back. With the issues I've had with the 3720 I guess I was just glad to have it back and rolling under its own power. At this point I'm not looking for the dealer to cover the cost of fixing it I just want to either fix the switches or remove them to satisfy my mind.

I would start with the dealer that replaced the cluster. If it's something they overlooked, I would think they would want to make it right.
Probably 10 minutes with a computer.

Update

I visited my dealers service department and they didn't have a clue why the switches were not working. So I asked if they could print me off the directions for the automotive style cruise control(part#LVB25866). There at the end if the installation instructions gives the directions to configure the instrument panel display. I came home went through all the steps and everything is working again. Whew! I'm a happy guy. I just wanted to give an update for anyone who may encounter this problem.
