Enclosed Trailers for Sid Steers and Compact Tractors - do they make them

A stock trailer was the first thing that came to my mind. A four horse trailer should be plenty beefy enough. The ramp could be reinforced if need be. Not a cheap trailer, but the O.P. didn't mention cost.

First Thanks for the information/posts. My current tractor/loader/box blade/operator is around 4500 pounds without loaded tires.

Update I did go trailer shopping Saturday. One of the larger dealers had open house with a factory sales rep. Looking at a 7X20 or 8.5X20 steel frame trailer. Here is what they could offer. For the ramp door they would add extra grease-able hinges to a total or 7 hinges. The door would have additional rectangular steel stringers. One feature I liked was that the last 12 inches of the steel door (open end that would contact the ground when ramp is open) was angled flat steel plate with undercoating applied. This is where they typically they use the round rubber bumpers to protect the edge. Not as pretty but it looks to be sturdy.

Another dealer had commercial landscaping trailers with a 4500 pound door standard. They will check to see with factory what that the rating means. Does it mean that the door will support 4500 pounds on the ramp or does it mean 4500 pound vehicle with two axles and only one axle on the door at one time. They also could replace the 3/4 in plywood floor with 2x6 inch flooring line is used on implement haulers. All would use 12 in on center floor stringers.

In summary with the upgrades and two 5200 or 6000 pound axles it will not be the cheap trailer you see in the auto trader publications. On a positive note it might be time to look into a lighter tractor since it will mainly be used for field mowing and lighter loader work. But I would want to keep my current tractor as well.
