I have a friend that lives in the Limpopo province, so I was doing some research today to get a better understanding of what's going on. If my reading is correct, in a nutshell, some folks in the government have come up with a list of approximately 200 farms that need to be reallocated or broken into smaller parcels. I believe they've put a limit of 12,000 Hectares for maximum ownership. If you own more, the excess will be taken, bought, auctioned and ownership of the new parcels will be transferred to "under represented blacks".
