End to 26XX HD?

I went to my local MF dealer to look at any 26xx HD when the dealer said they didn't have one and they couldn't since the line is shutdown. He said he tried to order a 2670 HD but factory doesn't make them anymore.
Anyone have any details? Why? Replacement?

The only thing on the Massey website is about the 2650........says to check with dealer for availability.

They are working on a model with a Powershuttle option, since canning the 3600 series, that part of their line up is missing that option.

Hopefully they will put.a SISU in them too.

Dealers I talk to say the only 26xxHD machines are those on the lots. No more made (just as reported here.) Also say that the replacement models will probably be "just newer models" with the only major change MENTIONED being "power reverser" transmissions as John Deere calls them. The changes have to be fairly significant though in order to stop an assembly line and retool for the changes. AGCO is a big company and one wonders what they might do. My fear would be cost-cutting changes that degrade the product. Seems to me the 26xxHD line did not run very long as tractors go.

I sure have a wishlist for them ! Good brakes on all of them instead of retrofitting when people complain, more hydraulic flow (at least up to the "low flow" stds of skid loaders in the 18-20gpm range) , multi-tasking loader controls that allow curl-while rise (like the hyd options available on NH T4040), 3pt hitch lift that gives you 3 or 4 inches of control lever movement to raise a bushhog instead of 1/2", 3pt lift capacity competitive with Deere, Kubota and New Holland that all have greater lift capacity, and finally, a parking brake that does not take Charles Atlas to release it. I could go on ...

Anyone heard more ??

I was wondering about the SISU engines? Haven't heard anything about them. I've been very impressed with the Perkins engines how do you think they compare?

Although I only have had 10 hours of use with my 3635, the Sisu developes a lot of torque at the lower rpms, and just sips fuel. So far, it's impressive. I'll be plowing as sson as it dries out a bit, so I'll really find out how good it is.

Are you hearing that the MF26XXHD replacements will have SISU engines rather than Perkins ? The Perkins engines have a rock solid reputation (and mine has been flawless -- about the only thing that has been trouble-free!)

The new series will not eliminate anything. But they will fill a hole in the line up. They will be Iseki built.

Eventually the SISU will under the hoods of pretty well every MF, or AGCO branded tractor including the Challenger tractors.
