Since firing up my RZT 50 for the first time this season it has begun to cut in and out when the blades are engaged. It runs fine without the blades engaged. I suspect a safety switch of some sort but an not sure where to look. The seat kill switch seems to be working as designed. Any suggestions where to look?

I've had this problem with an old White F/R I use for trimming. My problem was trash in the fuel tank, enough gas was getting through for the engine to run ok until I put a load on it by turning on the electric clutch. Try ckecking the fuel filter & fuel tank.

How about the spindles, greased & turning the blades freely?

Had a freind with a JD zero turn doing this. He took to the JD dealer and they replaced the battery. They said it had only enough juice to run ,not enough to run and keep the electric clutch engaged.Maybe worth a try.

Well... i have run 2 tanks of gas through it and still doing it. Replaced the fuel filter and still no luck. Seems to quit doing it after 30-45 minutes of running. Spindles seem fine and the blades turn without issue. Ill be looking into the battery next and if that does not work i guess ill pull it all apart and turn the tank upside down. I would have thought any crud would have worked its way out by now tho.

On my WHITE F/R the fuel feeds out the very bottom of the tank so the hole would clog up with small debris settleing in the hole. I just pull off the fuel line where it connects to the tank, there is a shut off valve there so I can do this without flooding gas all over, then turn on the valve and if fuel flows out of the tank liberally then thats not the problem.
