Just wonder what the average life expectancy is for the Kubota diesel engines on Kubota 2100 or 2400 Zero turn mowers for example if properly maintained...3000, 4000 hours ?

if i rember correctly they are designed for about 6-7000hrs. i have seen a few b7100 etc get there but in general something either takes the motor out first or the rest of the machine is so worn it all ends in the scrap yard. believe me when i say the deck will be fairly sad at 3-4000hrs.

My old G3HST was replaced by a GR 2100-II after 2500 hours (and 30 years) and the motor and the transmission where together in perfect conditions and where never repaired.

When Swamp Loggers was on cable, the owner of the logging company said that diesel engines were good for 10,000 hours.

Break it in correctly, service with best fluids/filters per Kubota schedule, and don't abuse it and it should run "forever"

I have a customer who properly maintans his Kubota R-series wheel loaders. He has over 10,000 hours on one and over 8000 hours on two others. None of them are close to being ready for retirement yet.

I've seen plenty of the B-series make it past the 6000 hour mark.

My neighbour has a John Deere loader tractor with over 30,000 hours on it. His father used it for custom work for many years.

It is not at all uncommon to see Kubota engines in machines over 10,000 hours. We just had a big Jacobsen mower in Kubota powered over 14,000 original hours.
