I have a Satoh Beaver 373D. Mine came with the 3-cylinder Mitsubishi engine. While doing some tree pulling and brush cleanup in the woods my oil dipstick got pulled out. It is lost and I need a replacement. If possible, could one of you guys send me a photo of the dipstick lined up with a ruler so that I will know the proper length and hash marks on the stick? It would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
(I expect a few dipstick jokes will be forth coming, too. :)

Aren't you going to have to get a replacement at the local dealership. They should have an exact OEM replacement dipstick.

I have a cheap Whites metal detector. I've never lost a dipstick but sure is used to find nuts/bolts/etc lost in my lawn while doing repair work.

Works like a champ. If you were out & about in your fields - the lost dipstick will look like most any twig or branch.

How much area did you cover? Any chance of finding it with a metal detector?

Covered about 3 acres dragging trees into the woods. Walked down the area but in the woods, it all looks the same.
Was out there for about 5 hours, sawing and moving trees from my yard to the backwoods.
Took several different routes since ability to drag

The dealership is not available since it is a 1974 Satoh Beaver 3 tractor. The dealer it came from is out of business.
Made me one and cut it to about the right length. Use the current oil level in the tractor to mark it.
It will do for now.

New dipstick is bright YELLOW and not dull blue.

A google search of the part number finds one in the US for $14. Might want to search the pn for better local options.
