Instead of cleaning my radiator fins with water, I use air from my compressor. I found that the flexible hose off a grease gun has the right threads to fit on the end of my air gun, and it allows me to bend the hose around the radiator to get to all the hard to reach spots.
I've never had a fin bend on me, and it's amazing how much dirtis blown out of those fins!!!!
