Engine Racing at 540 PTO RPM

Although those muffs-with-radios look like fun, I just keep a bunch of foam earplugs in a pill bottle in the toolbox so there're always some around. I've finally learned that hearing protection's a good idea with all equipment, from tractors to table saws.

Thanks for the feedback. It sure is noisy at 2,400, with the engine roaring and front end loader handle buzzing, etc. but I guess need to get used to.

with my 2400 i run the finish mower at pto speed 2600 rpm. it will not hurt the tractor and gives the best blade speed for a good cut. it don't sound so loud to me, just plenty of power if needed.
