Good Morning
I am new to this forum as of yesterday. I belong to a number of car forums and found this one while I was searching the internet for info on my cub cadet series 2000 model 2166 that I purchased new 20 years ago. I've read about the problem of the tractor running for a period of time, then shutting off and not starting until it cools down. I had the same problem towards the end of last year and labored through it. I'm in the process of getting the tractor ready for the cutting season and would like to solve the problem because I'm lucky enough to have a wife that enjoys cutting the grass as long as it starts and runs. Read about possible vapor lock, fuel filter, carburetor issues and bad coil. What I would like to know is there any information on pulling the motor to replace the coil if all else doesn't fix the problem or if I can get to and replace the coil without pulling the engine, which by the way is the 16ph Kohler?
Thanks
Gary
