I was doing some tilling on a steep incline going up and the engine would start to sputter and it wouldn't stop until I leveled it out, and it still took a couple seconds. It seems to be doing it consistently, I only tried three times but it sounded so badly I didn't want to push it. If I am on an incline sideways it's fine. It's a BX 1830 with 8 hours on it. Has anyone else experience this.

It sounds to me like your not getting fuel at that angle. I don't know you did not state how much fuel was in the tank.

How much fuel is in the tank? Does the BX1830 have a gravity fuel system? My F2400 has a gravity feed and I have the same symptoms (in my case going up steep hills in reverse) - i.e. when the fuel level in the tank is lower than the fuel injector feed. It sounds like it is starving for fuel. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Well thats the other thing. The sending unit is on the opposite side of the tank from where the filler cap is. If the angle is really bad I'd expect you might be out of fuel also. Try filling the tank to full and go out on the steepest slope you got and till. If it runs mint you know it's the fuel.
