Scotts 20 HP B&S Inteck Twin
I have a Scotts/John Deere lawn tractor w/ a 20 HP B&S Inteck Twin engine. The engine starts and runs well untill it gets good and warm, for example after mowing for an hour. Then the engine will die as if running out of gas. Applying the choke will help for a bit, but the engine will die. After twenty minutes or so the engine will start fine, run for a bit and then stop again.

I have replaced a short fule line near the engine and replaced the fuel pump but the problem persists.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

make sure your fuel system is venting, they can vapor lock and not be able to get fuel.once it dies, have you checked for spark ?

It's a plugged gas cap vent. Try running it with out the cap and see if it still does it. Does it quit quicker if it's full of gas than it does near empty.
