Joshej: The big Ag Mahindra engines are built by Mahindra in India. They were designed by "AVL" in Austria who have been making diesels for a bunch of years (I believe they are one of the leading diesel engine producers in all of Europe who live on diesel). I have noticed by posts, etc that the AG tractor engines are rated somewhat low IOW, if the 6000 is rated 50 hp at the drawbar, they are usually dyno'd at about 54/55 hp. It is also noted that the Mahindra engines are slow turning (high idle at 2100 rpm) so they make most of their torque (read as power) at not much over 1600 rpm. I would also assume that the relatively low compression ratio of 19.4 to 1 will give it long life as well. So much for my biased $.02 worth. BobG in VA
