I broke down and bought a B3030 with fel and the 72' mmm last june and I almost cry with joy everytime I look at it. I wish I had more projects to do with it. Last summer I used and mostly for mowingand cut by time by two thirds over my old 38" John Deere riging mower. last week and I put it to use for my first big cleanup project on our farm. I had several trees which had blown down over the winter including three that had fallen on fences. I was able to lift each one with the bucket, pushed it away from the fence and drop in on the far side in every case. Most of these trees were balanced awkwardly and would have been quite a handful using just the chainsaw. I was also amazed how easily I could push blow downs off of Trail's, even 10" diameter trees were no problem at all using four-wheel-drive.

The first two tasks were so simple that I had time to cut down 10 additional small trees encroaching on some of my smaller pastures and just push them off to the edge, creating brush files for rabbits another small game. these trees ranged in diameter from six to 10" and would've normally taken me the better part of weekend to clear with a chainsaw and four wheeler.

All together we have about 125 acres of mixed woods, with 6 four to six acre pasture's, and a two acre pond. I purchased the tractor to maintain trails, mow, maintain a gravel driveway, and put in the a couple of one acre food plot. I find myself trying to make up new projects just for an excuse to play with my tractor.

Does everybody have this much fun with their tractors????

Yup, we do have fun with these things. Check out the Customization forum and see what WaxMan & 4shorts have done with their Kubotas. I swiped a couple of their ideas, but their in the big leagues compared to me!

I really didn't get by without it. That's the problem. This is my first farm of any sort. Tried to use a brush mower behind the Yamaha Rhino to maintain the hunting trails, etc. Just like they say you can do in all the hunting magazines. That was a joke. I had to drive about 1/2mph to keep from bogging the thing down in tall grass. I also originally planned to buy a disk for the 4 wheeler for food plots, but decided that the wear and tear on the Rhino with the mower and the disc would kill it in short order.

It didn't take me very long to figure out I needed a tractor. It just took a while to convince my beautiful wife that "we" really needed it. She finally got the point when I had her mow some of the trails pulling the Swisher mower with the Rhino. She got fed up real fast after having to stop several times to clear the deck and pull-start the mower repeatedly. The Rhino began to overheat a couple of times, too, which didn't hurt my argument either.

Fortunately, that's all behind me now. My only problem now is convincing her that I now need an even bigger tractor to play with. Hee Hee!
