Hi Kevin,
Good to hear from you, it has been while!. Glad you are getting some good use out of your tractor. 2005 was the last year we imported the KM554 due to the end of the EPA TPEM program. They have a new EPA engine avialable now from an outside vendor, but the cost is much higher so we have hesitated. We do continue to stock and import parts to support these machines, and are busy with our new AgTrac brand tractors although they are smaller.
Remember to keep the nuts and bolts tight, change the oil often (engine and injector pump especially) and you should get many more years of work (FUN) out of your machine. I had forgotten that we used some red loaders that year. Many tractors out of the gates since then....

I see you got yours the same year I got mine except Chip put that neat looking red loader on yours. I sure like my 554 and it has been a real workhorse. How many hours do you have on yours now? I've got over 400hrs on mine now and it's running great. I think I made the right choice like you did with that tractor.
I have ordered several filters and some parts from Chip. His service is great.

A KM554 and a metal building! What more does a Man need?
I have 135 hours on my '06 554 and my 40x40 steel building is about 5 years old and full of good junk and cool tools!

I got an email from a guy in China that said he can export the KM554 with an EPA engine now, anyone heard anything more on this? Below is an excerpt from an email he sent me after I questioned the legality of importing a KM554.
"Dear Mr. Robert:
How are you? hope fine.
Re: the KM554 tractor, Now it can be with EPA engine, the price is FOB Qingdao usd6890.00/unit, pls cnfm and give me your reply asap.

Actually... the KM454 has been resurrected with a TY495 type engine, which I understand to be the 4 cylinder version of the TY395 common to some Jinmas, and the Yuchai dozers. (also used in our TS354X). We can arrange crate shipping of either of these direct to a terminal warehouse while dealing with a USA supplier that stocks parts.

Question for Chip - If you can import EPA KM554/454 are you going to get any in?
