</font><font color="blue" class="small">( Well....2wd vs 4wd for one )</font>
That's a valid point.
</font><font color="blue" class="small">( LIst on the JD shows to be over $15K by the way )</font>
Every add I've seen on it in the last month show it to be 12999... Greensouth dealers are even putting adds inthe newspaper here in florida about it. So.. it must be what? an incentive program right now? Either way.. if it is 12999 that you pay.. that's the price you have to use to compare it to the nortrac.. not a higher list price.. ( as long as you are not paying list. )
</font><font color="blue" class="small">( The 40HP NOrtrac didn't show up on thier web site )</font>
It's in their paper catalog.. not sure how old it is.. may be a month or so??
My point was.. a 'big 3' 50hp machine compaired o a 2nd brand 40 hp machine... and the only 2 factors are 1K$ difference.. and 4wd... And the 4wd machine is 10hp lower...
That's a slim margin... when compairing a $pendy model like a jd with a chinese tractor I would think you would see a larger margin.. considering the price of an entry level jinma 200 series is usually at least 1.5x ( and as much as 2x to 3x ) difference in price than a major brand.
If that jd price is an incentive.. anyone know how long it is? A price like that makes it hard for anyone to compete. I watch NH prices and units.. and can say that a 50hp machine.. even plain and stripped is a hard run for the money. If I was buying a new tractor today.. I wouldn't be able to stay blue.. as I'd save so much 'green' on the green unit.
