Eradicating bamboo

Thanks for the ideas, all of you. He doesn't have a tractor & he is too far for me to drive my tractor there. It probably covers an area about 20' X 20', but there is a wood walkway thru the middle of it & he doesn't want to rip that out, although the damnboo is growing up between the boards.

I passed on your input; we'll see what he does & what works.
