Hey guys I was just at my upstate house and felt like taking the 4720 out for some snow time and after letting her warm up for maybe 5 minutes...(should of did more), I went to reverse to pickup my ballast box and when I tried to go forward NOTHING! I got an ERROR 14 and went to the manual and it says "Pump Current".....Coil resistance too high (open) or too low (short), machine doesnt drive. What does that mean? I called my JD guy and he is going to send someone maybe tomorrow but said maybe it didnt warm up enough, been like 5 degrees here for a while and I havent run the machine in a few months. Anyone know exactly what this means? Something stupid? Serious? Hate being in the dark with this stuff....Thanks for any input!

Jerry.. sorry to hear about your - stop, no go "code"! Frustrating; I'm sure..

Will your tractor still move in reverse?

Might be your forward potentiometer dropped a wire?

Keep us posted.

Well... there were always several very good reasons to have "barn cats"! :D

Glad the hear that the problem was pretty straight-forward, though.

Couldn't you access the chewed wires and splice them together with a couple of those heat shrink, glue connectors?

This is what I worry about! Where I keep the tractor in the summer in the woods with a lot of squirrels, chipmunks and mice around. I feed a lot of poison and keep moth balls around. I heard of this but haven't tried it. Maybe someone else has tried it?

Hello Fellas,

I'm not sure if its the exact brand but we use a similar product in our tractors combine and other machinery at work in our barns during storage in winter and summer and we don't have many issues if any at all. we also use copious amounts of mothballs. I would suggest both if you don't mind spending the money.
