Error Code F11 on XR4150 Shutle?

Made it to 22 hours the other day on my new XR4150 when surprisingly the regen light kicked on. I thought it was supposed to go 50 hours between cycles? Anyway, after the regen had been running 5-10 minutes it kicked off and the engine warning light came on and the display began flashing the code F11. I got it to a place out of the way and shut it down. It was running fine the whole time and the temp and oil pressure was good. I could not find a reference to the F11 or any codes in the manual. Does anyone know where to find this info other than call the dealer? Is there a way to reset the code display to see if it comes back on during normal operation?

I've had 3 regens in 27 hours. I firmly believe the 50 hr regen only applies to running full out, heavy load, 105F weather, 100% of the time!

I don't understand how to correlate what is displayed ("F11") to the service manual. Was there any other number displayed? Here is a sample of codes, but nothing relates to "F11". This is for the 4100 series engines.

Looks to be a dealer question. Let us know what you find out.

I looked again and it does also show 81 on the screen as well. I called the dealer the day it showed up and they said it was related to an air control sensor and that it was ok to run it. They said they had another one do the same thing occasionally. Does the manual mention a way to reset the display to see if the code comes up again?

Ok that helps.

"81" is the Suspect Parameter Number (see my previous post with pictures of descriptions).

I circled it here:

Since it was blinking, it must be one of these diagnostic trouble codes associated with "81"
DTC P1432 (slow blink, every second)
DTC P242F (slow blink, every second)
DTC P2463 (fast blink, every 1/2 second)

I still don't get what the "F" numbers are for and there is nothing in the manual about reset. It's kind of sketchy as I assume the dealer software can do anything they need to. It must go away since the dealer said not to worry...might take a few engine cycles like some codes on cars(?).

Ok. a DPF related issue makes sense considering it happened during regen. I was hoping it was something I might be able to easily fix since the dealer is way out of the way but sounds like I just need to drop it off and let those guys take care of it. I will post the results when I get it back...thanks for the help

My tractor has now been sitting at the dealer for over a week. Supposedly their computer does not tell them what the code means and they are waiting for the LS tech guy to tell them what to do. Feeling like I may have a dealer issue. I have yet to get a call with an update despite being promised they would keep me informed. Everytime I call I get a different story ranging from "we're still tinkering with it" to the "LS guy that knows about this stuff is on vacation." Losing confidence to say the least.

Is there a place to purchase a service manual online?

I don't have any source for a service manual but would love one for my own use, as well.

I've stated in another thread how I deal with this issue in my XR3037. As I do with my PC....

I reboot it!

Pull off and shut down totally. Pull the negative battery lead for a few seconds... Say15-20 for the sake of argument.

I've done it and worked wonders for resetting codes. Further, I've had grounding issues in the past. Causing shorts to the system.

I hope this helps. It's worked wonders for me. I'm It's been running great in this Florida heat.
Regen cycle works Ingrid flawlessly now.

F11 code is the sensors on the DPS not reading properly and sending the CPU false readings. Basically there is a patch for the software that must be installed. This will make the sensors communicate properly with the CPU. We have had 1 4100 series LS do this. After downloading the patch and installing it to the tractors CPU we ran it through several forced regens with no issue.

Well at 55 hours I had the F11 / 81 error code. After taking it to the dealer, they found that the sensors on the DPS is not reading properly and sending the CPU false readings as stated by someone above. They installed a software update that fixed the issue. They had it fixed within 30 minutes. Glad I didn't have to leave it with them and that is wasn't something major.
