I'm working with an estate to sell off a Cub Cadet 122 with many accessories. I'm trying to establish fair market value. First and foremost is the Cub Cadet 122, serial 172151. It was used for mowing until not too long ago. Hasn't started in a while but did run. Motor is free, steering is loose. I think slop in the pin hole in steering shaft. Decks are in fair condition with typical sheet metal rust. Ultimately, this will be sold as an entire package but looking to establish value as a package. Thanks in advance.

If you're going to sell it in a non running state, 500? Maybe more if someone really wants it.

Paid about $300 for a nice 129 with good deck about 6 - 8 years ago. $125 for a non running 128 with a good deck 2 years ago. Needed a carb rebuild, runs great but a little rough looking. Decent front blade - $100 , and a decent 36" snow blower - $100 two years ago. I think the price varies a lot depending on how bad the purchaser wants one but around here the ones on CL that aren't really cheap seem to be re-listed over and over.

Same around here. The know-enough-to-be-dangerous-free-advice is "Them old Cub Cadets is classics. Guys pay a lot of money for 'em. Heard of one being used in a tractor pull." When a seller says, "OK, how much will you give for it right now?" Suddenly, all that big money is walking away rapidly.
