Rotary Cutter Ever heard of a Bush Hog Model 600?

Those pedestal mounted gear boxes I doubt are available anymore. I would think that seals and such are. I would check with my nearest bush hog dealer for parts availability. That looks like a squealer depth side bands built to 305 specs. I think those gearboxes were rated at 90 HP. I would take that gearbox over anything made now from Asia.

I used to use a 5' woods cutter on a 1948 8-N Ford, 26hp at pto IIRC.
I would back over Palmetto bushes, rev it up and lower slowly.
The Stump Jumper is your friend!!! (Stump Jumper- large plate on shaft above blades, prevents jamming blades on objects)

I found some specs on the 305, it needs a min of 30 PTO HP. My L39 is rated for 30.5. I just would prefer to be conservative. Dont want to tear up my tractor.
