Also, Harbor Freight sells a 50 pieces assortment for about $8. Use a 20& off coupon and it drops to $6.40.

only problem I have with harbor freight is their minimum shipping cost is around $7......and it just irritates me to pay more for shipping then the product itself.....I'd probably shop more at hf if the shipping costs weren't so high........just read that walmart is going with free shipping and no minimum spend....that's probably going to make everyone else re-evaluate their shipping policy or lose sales........look for amazon to change their $49 minimum spend for free shipping in response to this......Jack

I have found the easiest way to get broken Zerks out is Super Outs by Lisle. I am pretty sure that there are other brands of them but this one set has lasted for over 25ish years. I tend to use them on Zerks more than anything.

Kinda look like Torx bits, which may work as well.

SO you drill a hole and then pound them in with a hammer.

One time use tool, or can you get it out afterwards? I generally use a normal eazi-out, but that doesn't always work real well.

Yes, drill hole, tap in with hammer and unscrew. I get them out afterwards by using a vise and a pair of vise grips. I have only had one stay in a fastener well enough that I needed to thin the wall of the fastener. Usually with Zerks depending on the size of the zerk the small one or the next to small gets them out without drilling if the break is clean.

Harbor Freight has stores all over the place. Make a wish list and take a drive once or twice a year.

Take a Allen wrench and hit it into the hole, that's what we do when we got a broken one and it almost always works. Sometime I take a torch to it real quick to help loosen it
