Mowing Everyone done mowing for the season?

Well I mowed for the last time this year. Time to clean up my baby and put her away for the year.
Everyone else done mowing too?

Yep, I did my last mowing/leaf mulching last week. Was still muddy as all get out, but I hate having those last leaves blowing around. I love the way a good leaf mulching cleans the underside of the deck! I removed, cleaned and reistalled the deck, but I wish I could catch a warm day to give it a bath. She's pretty muddy. I've got a few ounces of gasoline to run out of it as well. I like to leave it dry over the winter. Got the yardman 7hp/24" blower all ready to go for it's 7th winter.

I may get one more leaf pickup in before I pull the deck.
I'm also hoping for one warm (high 40's) day to clean up the tractor.

The 5252 is going back for some warranty work and I need to mount the blower on the 1872 and I'll be ready for the snow to fly, well, as ready as one can be.

Man, I hate these short freakin days, come on Winter solstice.

At least it's only 137 days untill spring!!!

Nothing personel or anything, but boy I'm glad that I don't live where I have to deal with snow any more than the little bit we get each winter!!!!! We still have leaves galore and after that it's just the rest of football and most of basketball till it's mowing time again. Can't say that I wasn't ready for a "killin frost" though.

I fertilized the lawns and then did a few more cuts. I thought that last week after the rain that it would be the last cut of the season. Picked all the leaves off the lawns, and this evening, I noticed that it needs to be cut again. Usually by this time, the ground is starting to freeze, but this year, the grass keeps growing, and the days have been warm. 53 degrees outside and it is midnight. Tomorrow it is supposed to be in the mid to high 60's, so I will be cutting it for what I hope to be the last time. Dusty

Morning Micman.
My last mowing about month ago and all of the faling leaves have been romove,but last Sunday while outside puttering I notice in places the lawn has grown...we been having rains w/temps in the hih 50's to low 60's...but there no way Iam waken the Cub up from its winter nap.

I pulled, cleaned and lubed the deck on my 5252 this last weekend as well. First time I had to do that. What a project. Easily 3 hours from start to finish.

Today I cut the lawn and vacuumed leaves. For the last time this year. Now it's clean, lube, store and put the snow blade on before we get a good snowfall.

I'm checking my mom and dad's old place this weekend to see. I will probably have to mow it then and that should be my last. May also have to do some trimming around my residence but, after this weekend,

I'M DONE!

Sad thing is I won't have much to do for my tractor during the winter. "We don't get no snow" in my area to speak of. Most projects done also. Oh well, she can use the rest.
