Just received the EA 66” grapple. Probably won’t be able to get to use it for about a week, other chores need doin. Once it left EA it got stuck in a couple of truck terminals for about 9-10 days. Packaging was black plastic shrink wrap on a 48”x42” wood pallet. Pallet was beat up and the strapping holding it to the pallet was just hanging there but the grapple looked fine. Let you know more when I get to use it a bit. IMG_1155.JPGIMG_1155.JPG

Looks good it's a tough grapple I think they use old pallets and you know trucking companies and drivers can be hard on pallets..........

I’m sure some get damaged in transit. The pallet isn’t as long as the grapple. This one made it through

Well I’ve had the 66” wicked for just under a month now. It is a total beast. I’m pretty sure you would break something on your tractor before this. I guess you could get a stick caught in a hydraulic line. ClearIng an old overgrown area for a fence. With the wicked 66” on front and the 6’ HD kodiak on back and the MF 2606h in the middle not much can stop me. This 66” has powerful jaws, taking down saplings with ease, nothing like the stuff Ted from EverythingAttachments takes down. Not sure what I did before I owned it. IMG_1204.JPG

Would say EA grapple is a lot like a nice gift in an used gift bag. I have same grapple and have really enjoyed it. There are two things on the grapple you need to address, the back is very open and limbs can come through it and possible damage your tractor's front end, some have installed expanded metal and others of us have installed custom made grill protector. The second one is when you use the grapple and unhook the best position "I" have found is to open it fully and let it rest face down. That leaves it stable (try leaving it standing upright and it will role over if you have nothing to hold it there) and prevents the lid closing increasing pressure on either hose. I like to leave my hoses connected to each other also.

If I had it to do over would buy the same grapple. Been very pleased with it. I like the design very well when it comes to raking small limbs or pushing buried limbs and the size of what it can grab and hold.
