Hey, Del and everyone,
What do you think, 2341 hours, EPA legal, over 17,000#, digs over 13 ft with some real ummph, etc? Cat dealer rep offered to check it out overall on site for free, or bring it into the shop for a real going over at a charge. They ran the vin and verified its origins.
The only thing my old high school classmate (who is Sales Manager at our state Cat dealer) cautioned me about was that it was a ZTS model (zero tail swing) which might make for some delays in getting the few (most body) major parts that are different from the US model, if they are ever needed. But the engine, pumps, and most mechanicals are the same.
Should I buy it, and how much do you think it is worth? How heavy a truck would you use to pull it on a trailer (hint, I just received my CDL learner's permit)?
If the used dealer that has it won't bite for my offer or I decide not to, I'll move down to the 5 ton machines. This one is a 7 ton with real attitude in that 54 horse Mitsubishi 4D32 engine.
Thanks, friends,
Jim
