Excavator Burn Pile cleanup

We burned 8 YUGE piles of trees from our woods after Hurricane Michael..... still have 2 more to go. We had to get rid of the burned dirt and ash for the ginormous pile of junk so the excavator dug holes to China LOLOL It was a lot of fun.

This is how you go from Dense forest to field. :laughing: I caught a lot of the action on video.

You're missing a huge bunch of potash soil amendments. And pH raisers. Do a soil test of your cleared areas. You might want to spread that ash & till in instead of burying it.

I just skimmed through the video without any volume. I've been following your progress and enjoy seeing your land recover after so much damage. Did you buy an excavator?

Did that water get into the hole from rain or is it ground water? Here, if I have water in a hole and I try to fill it, I create quicksand. A month or even a few months later, it will grow over with grass and I'll drive across it and sink into a bottomless mud hole. Now I scoop out all the water in a hole before I fill it with dirt.
