I just bought a rider with broken exhause pipe. Bolts are there and seem to be in good shape (facing down, near front end). Muffler seems OK.....mounted in a heat sheild or cage.....with hole facing up.

So, it seems I just need an "S" pipe with a flange (and 2 nuts). Wait a minute....it can't be that easy. Does this (missing) S pipe insert into the bottom of engine? or just compress to it? or do I need a donut or gasket?

what about the bottom end of S pipe...does it just stick into the muffler, without a connection?

where should I buy this S pipe...or do I need muffle too?

In case you haven't noticed, I am NOT a mechanic and need details :) Thanks in advance for any help!

The missing pipe was part of the muffler. You'll need to buy a complete muffler with gasket and bolts. It should look something like this picture.

I didn't have your serial number so yours may be a little different they all look about the same.
