I have a 70 ford 3400. 3cyl gasser. the spark plugs are to be torqued to 35lbs. my #2 cly is torqued to 45 lbs and still leaks. It wouldn't be much of a problem except it blows the plug wire off. Is there some kind of sealant to use that would allow the removal of the plug when neccessary?

No,noooo,no sealant on plugs please. Do plugs have metal gaskets? Porcelain some times cracks. Make sure it has correct plugs installed(some plugs don't have a gasket but has tapered seat instead, not interchangeable) Switch offending plug with another plug. Check threads in head for "hilicoil insert" that has failed.

So is it recommended to routinely blow holes around plugs out to prevent compression leaks? :scratchchin:

No. It is recommended to blow out the holes before removing the spark plugs. The OP did not do that so he got some kind of debris between the crush ring on the spark plug and the cylinder head. Removing the plug and clearing the debris is recommended to cure that problem.

Totally make's sense and lead's me to ask a larger question. When asking for assistance,is it recommended to give a little background leading up to the problem? As example,"my tractor run's awful, spitting back through carburetor and die's when clutch is released while in any gear. Any help will be appreciated". (Should poster make it known he rearranged plug wires just prior to when this began?)

Are you a genuine troll or just impersonating one?
