Expiring Car Washes ? ! Rant

Just wondering if I live in the only state that allows pre-purchased car washes from gas stations to expire after 30 days. That is such a crock!
I don't know how many I have lost because of the weather not co-operating.
Do you all have to put up with this scam too? If I purchase something, I purchased it. Period. There should be no expiration. Within reason I mean. Like a year, but 30 days???
So you buy one on Monday when they are on sale but it is only 10 degrees that day, by the time it is feasible, . . . . Nope, expired. Must get moldy.

Somewhat along same line of gripes.
Locally we have a nice artisan bakery.
They made a excellent sourdough loaf amongst other varieties.
They had a 'loyalty card' that gave U one free for every 8 purchased.
Well one day I was, as usual, buying 3 loaves that would have had a free one. (like 4 for price of 3).
The owner claimed that he cancelled the promo last week.
I simply left the 4 loaves there and walked out.
That was over a year ago.

I sometimes am tempted to show my face simply to ask him if he remembers me.
Bet I purchased 60-70 loaves B4 that insult.

Had he said that this was the last and honored his promo or even have set an expiration date I would have respected him, but not his flat out refusal and attitude.

I've never purchased one that way so don't know. However, a few years ago the local car wash was pushing "Car wash gift certificates" for Christmas. After the holiday they closed their doors for the winter.

Nope. Here in Indiana I have seen them do this. Like if you buy it at the gas pump when you buy your gas they give you a code to enter at the car wash. Expires in 30 days.

My eggs have expiration dates as well.

You are purchasing a contract with them that says they will wash your car as many times as you want for the next 30 days.

If you don't like the terms of the contract, don't buy.

Wow, stealing bread form seniors? How low will they go?

I boycott places that don't give me free stuff. Not my fault they asked for it. Serves 'em right, I say.

If I pay for a car wash I get the wash that day.

btw, Coupons should be for life with no quantity limit and laminated or at least on waterproof paper.

Yep. It's been that way for as long as I can remember if you buy it at the pump. Since we know this, we only purchase a car wash if we need it that day. I think it only saves us a dollar VS buying it at the car wash entrance with no fill-up.

I've seen that offer at a local car wash for $19.99 you get to wash it once a day for a month.
I think what the OP is talking about is a single use car wash that you buy when you fill up your gas tank with at least X gallons. You have 30 days to use that code on the receipt to get 1 car wash.
