Mahindra 3016HST
I'm in the process of adding remotes to my Mahindra 3016. I've searched the posts but couldn't find an answer to this.
When I bought the tractor it had a FEL installed which I didn't need since I have one on my International.
So the dealer removed the FEL. Everything worked great but now that I'm close to hook up on my remotes I've run into this on the
hydraulic block. Looks like a shunt to me. Can I hook up to this, P to valve inlet and PB to valve outlet? I think I need to run return to the T. Right?

I am guessing that hose completes the power beyond loop, but I have no knowledge of the hydraulics setup on a 3016. Likely, one of the ports had provided power beyond to the front loader valve, and the other took power beyond from the front loader valve to whatever is next in the circuit (possibly the 3-pt hitch). You may be able to confirm this by tracing the hard lines to/from the block -- if one goes to the 3-pt hitch, that would be a good clue.

When disconnecting old backhoes on tractors you had to complete the loop like that to avoid dead heading the hydraulic pump and splitting it.

Thanks folks, I think I get it.
According to the service manual, the FEL originally used P, PB, and T to and from the valve.
I believe I need to use the same setup and provide the back loop from the PB on the valve to the PB on the hyd. block for anything downstream.

Sounds right, so "P" should probably feed the remote valve inlet port. The valves should have a return line that goes to "T" (tank I assume) and a power beyond line that would go to "PB".

Just install the remote valve where the FEL was.

P to inlet of remote valve.

PB from the remote valve goes back to the hyd block.

T to tank.

O.K., that clears it up.
Now I want to make sure I get all the industry standard connections.
I see mostly JIC 37 deg. connections. I know that the hyd block is straight thread oring type, but my valve is NPT so I'll be working with adapters.
One question is a part number or supplier for bulhead mounted quick couplers.
Great site and thanks again for the feedback.

Whew! I thought I was on top of this, but still a bit foggy.
Mahindra uses 3/8 bsptm x 9/16 jicm fits in their hyd. block.
I'm finding that 9/16 JIC isn't very common so I need to adapt to a size that is common. 1/2 JIC?
