Extended warranty offer from NH

Just received a extended warranty offer from NH. $605 for 5 years or 5000 hours. No deductible.

I have a 2006 TC45A. I have never been that much into extended warranties but this one seemed pretty decent. Covered pretty much everything except normal wear items(bulbs, tires belts, battery etc).

Anyone take this out? $600 is not much today and seeing what this stuff cost to repair...

The warranty did mention they use genuine NH parts.

is it REALLY from NH? i don't mean to question you but i get all kinds of offers for out dodge product that looks like a dodge warranty but is a 3rd party....

Are you sure that it is 5000 hours and not 500? 5000 just doesn't make sense for this size tractor.

The catch is 5 years or 5000 hours-whichever comes first. 5 years is going to come around first.

Yes, directly from CNH America LLC. Actual price is $607 + tax

For example;
Chassis/frame/cab-covers welds, a/c system (excep dryer), door latches etc

Electrical-wiring harness, sensors, solenoids, instruments, gauges, indicators, circuit breakers, relays, switches and motors. (exclusions: battery bulbs and fuses.)
It does cover the brakes.

At that price I would buy it for our new T2220. Sounds like a good plan.

I purchased the warranty for my TC55DA offered on the 2nd year anniversary that I owned the tractor. Mine cost $488 for the "Powertrain Plus" warranty. My tractor still had a year left on the original warranty so I guess it really gave me an additional 4yrs. The contract does say 60 months and yes 5,000 hrs. I thought that was an error too but it's not. Therefore you're really getting the time with just as well say unlimited hours. I just can't see where the piece of mind wouldn't be worth that much. That averages for me $120/yr. Cheap in my opinion.

I had the the $1000.00 extended warranty on my TC 45 DA. After the initial warranty the dash fogged up, tilt wheel froze, hydro kept sticking, and some other minor repairs were needed. New Holland wanted me to bring it into the dealer, what wasn't covered I would have to pay for. In speaking to the shop supervisor he related unless they are replacing the transmission, engine, or axles nothing else is covered. I fixed what I could and traded it off. I personally will NEVER buy a extended warranty. If it makes it through the first two years I will take my chances. It seems the contract is well written which leaves them an out at every problem.
