Extending the lift arms on the loader of my BX23

Has anyone thought of extending the lenght of the arms on the loader of a BX23 to get more height? I need to get 8 feet if possible to load the truck. It looks like it might be easy to do by removing the two pivot pins and lengthening the mount on the bucket.

any thoughts?

It may help your reach, but it will lessen your lifting ability and also make the tractor more likely to tip on uneven terrain. If your loading from a particular area, what about digging a small hole for the rear tire(s) of the truck to back into? this will lower the rear of the truck. Or maybe you could build a ramp for the tractor to drive onto. Maybe even something portable if you have various locations to do your loading.

yeah, I have been using the ramps from the trailer and proping them up on some logs. I was just thinking of getting more height out of it.

I drop a load of dirt next to the truck/trailer and drive up on that and clean it up when done.

I don't think I'd try extending the arms, could be very dangerous...I had an
8N that could lift around 8-9ft high..The center of gravity won't support that with any weight in it...Get's real tippy, pucker factor kicks in. My BX23 feels a little squirrely when I lift a load at any significant height, So I try to avoid that..The dirt ramp is probably your best bet here.
