Extension Spring on Deere Model #212

Hi! I'm having problems trying to install the extension spring from the secondary belt idler. I've seen the diagram on the parts catalog.

Now I'm certain that the extension spring connects to the notch in the pivot but I am uncertain where the spring attaches to forward. There is a bar that it might stretch to but I don't know. I would really love it if someone had a picture of where the spring attaches to. I've seen some photos so far but nothing seems to look right and I can't find a service manual with the correct information. I'm trying to do this without taking the rear fender off or spending any more money. Man I just need an easy answer. I'd appreciate some help thank you.

Well gentlemen I attached the spring to a bar forward through what appeared to be the only room the spring had to stretch forward. We haven't tested the mower in drive yet but the pulley seemed to have plenty of movement. I appreciate y'all taking a look at the thread. I also got the lawn tractors manual at the library. It helped a little. Thanks,
