I think I'm finally getting close to a 3720 deal here. Does anybody have a bucket that they want to get rid of? I'd just order the loader without (-640ish list). I'll probably never take the forks off anyway, but I should have something. I'm in SD but do get around, not in a rush either. 61" HD is preferred but not required.

Tim - good to hear that you're "almost" the proud owner of a new 3720. I was just in SD about 6 weeks ago...

Picked up a real clean JD336 square baler.

I do recall a strong "tail-wind" as I headed west, too!! :D

I think you're being "penny-wise and pound foolish" with your decision to forego the FEL bucket. I believe you will discover that HD buckets in "good shape" aren't that plentiful and the prices "start" at $500 and up for any that are in halfway reasonable condition.

Long and short - if you come across a USED bucket for $500 - you saved yourself $140 and you've got a USED bucket...

Even if you don't use it very often - the next owner of your tractor - will definitely WANT a bucket and that will be an important factor in the decision to buy YOUR tractor.

It will be very difficult to find a used JD bucket for a CUT. They just are not that common. However, if you had the JD skid steer carrier attachment, then you could use a used skid steer bucket. I assume you bought the JD pallet forks which will only work with the proprietary JD quick attach. IMHO, it is almost cheaper to order the skid steer carrier, and then buy any skid steer forks to fit on the carrier instead of buying the overpriced JD forks.

I have a 5' heavy duty bucket in Illiniois. I bought a 4in1 a year after I bought my 3320. If I had to do it again I would by the Frontier 4in1 with the tractor. I only use the standard bucket when I am doing a lot of loader work because it holds a little more than the 4in1.

If I don't get rid of it I am thinking about making a 3 point attachment and mount it on the back to haul stuff in.

Very good advice! (But, I'm a diehard believer in the SS attachment system.) Of course, if you're gonna go for the skid-steer mount on the front-end loader - get the front mount 3rd hydraulic connector, too!

Having the option of using a grapple, front mounted broom, front mounted snow blower, etc, etc.

Gives your tractor a whole bunch of additional capabilities!!

Fish what do I need for the front snow blower? I'm getting the mid PTO which I thought drove it like on the 2x20 tractors. Is there a front PTO or PTO option that I should be getting and hydro set up?

Hydraulic chute control...?

Nothing is worse than having the wind blow all that snow back into your face!

Or always having to get off the tractor when you switch sides of the road/driveway and reangle the blower chute by hand.

Yes, I know this problem, my last guy didn't have any chute controls. Lots of snow in the face.

Akfish- Your probably right about the amount of savings involved, but I thought if there was a place to look it would be here! As for the forks, I plan to weld up my own setup, so the skid steer setup wouldn't help.

Your lucky to find a tailwind in SD, always seems to blow the wrong way here.

If you are going to make your own forks, a simple way is to buy a set of forks and carriage from an old forklift. Weld on a skidsteer plate and your ready to go - if you have skid steer attachment carrier.
I use PHD on front, manlift, forks, trailer mover, homemade snow blade, grapple forks ect, all because my JD CUT has skid steer front attachment carrier.
