I put a power beyond kit on my JD 4110 hst tractor. my tractor already had a scv for the loader on it.
Now I want to install an extra directional valve to operate my power angle blade. My question is-- does the extra directional valve have to have a relief valve in the valve body?? or My understanding is that the tractor hyd. system relief valve should be all I need. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Where did you get the power beyond kit and how much was it? As far as the relief valve, it couldn't hurt. I don't think I have seen a valve assembly without one.

I bought the jd 4110 power beyond kit at my local dealer Findlay implement, in Findlay, Ohio.
the kit cost $215.00 plus tax. also I got to thinking, you are right , buy the directional valve with the relief in it. it wont' hurt a thing if I adjust it properly, might need it at a later date. if you special order a valve you can get one without the relief. Iam getting a prince valve.

Thanks, price sounds OK, did it come with directions or did you have to wing it. Is it installed at the rear or front. The only thing my local JD dealer had was one that connected to my FEL hyds, which would disable two functions

You should be able to remove the hoses controlling the tilt on the loader and connect your blade swing hydraulic lines to these points. This is what the dealer told me they do if they put like a Curtis blade on in place of my bucket.

That's what I don't want to do. I want to keep my loader functional.

I do not want to disable my loader functions. I want to have 2 extra valves available for multible uses.
the kit came with very little instructions, you have to read between the lines. the kit is sandwiched between the rear end housing and the fel scv. I think Iam doing this project right, but there are some unclear areas. I am currently waiting on ups to deliver my directional valve. After I finish this project, I will be an expert /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif well maybe not. This is how I learn, the hard way. this tbn is a very helpful site.
