I have a 96 model Kubota M5400 with a Bushhog brand 2446 QT loader. The loader hydraulics are run to and plugged into the connections at the rear of the tractor. I want to get a root rake/grapple to use but I don't have the extra hydraulic connections for the extra cylinders to run the grapple. Would it be easier just to buy a new remote with three levers or is there a better way?

Yes.

Just add a diverter valve to the curl circuit.

It is solenoid operated, so when you want to use the grapple, you push the grapple button and you have grapple operation.

Loader valve default would be curl mode.

It makes no sense why the loader valve is run off the rear remotes. What JJ said is correct but it sounds to me like your loader valve should also be replumbed.

The only way he could do that would be to cut the line going to the 3pt and insert the loader valve and then add the remote valve in series feeding it from the loader PB port. .

Not that hard to do.

I am curious if the loader valve has a PB port, since he is plugging in to the aux valve. .

Don't most tractors come with (or have available) a connection block already built into the system for adding the fel valve? Then assuming the PB port on the fel valve for the 3pt?

This particular tractor only has a line running from the pump to the 3pt.
