Extreme rattle on new RTV

Gremlins! /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif I shot two of them with my S&W Model 500, I got two more with those plastic wire ties! I'll be darned if I don't have another under the front hood somewhere. /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif I figured that I'd eventually run them all off! I checked the play of my yoke this weekend and there wasn't any. I would suspect that yours shouldn't have this much play that would cause that much rattle. Sounds like your dealer should take a look at it.

Being a tranny issue, I'd probably have it checked/repaired by the dealer. All of our rattles have been metal on metal somewhere outside of the drivetrain.

Haven't been here in a while, so I thought I'd update y'all on the latest for my "rattlin" RTV. A couple of weeks ago I took it back to my dealer (I've owned it for about 16 months, so warranty's over, right?) he replaced the muffler asembly, which fixed the roaring, and some of the rattle. He also replaced the front drive shaft(s), carrier bearing, and yokes. (NO CHARGE)! The replacements seem to be a lot more substantial, and now the whole thing is quiet as when it was new! I'm really hoping that it stays that way!

Congrats on the repairs. I know you've been dealing with these problems longer than many of us have. Mine has also been rattle-free since the repairs.
