Has anyone used a Fumoto or EZ oil drain valve on a BCS tractor? I'd like to add an EZ or Fumoto drain valve on my BCS tractor (948) to make changing the oil a bit cleaner as well as easier. The guard bar sits close to the drain plug. Will one of these fit in the available space?
Thanks.

I'd think the BCS is too low down for putting stuff like that on it. I had some brush remove the oil dipstick from my Gravely.

I've been using an oil extractor on my JD tractors. Works fine. First time, I did a test. Used the extractor and then removed the oil drain plug. NOTHING, not even a drip. The extractor likely got into the recess around the drain plug and got it cleaner than use of the drain plug would have. Use the extractor on everything now but curse Japanese because they keep putting oil filters underneath.

I got a bunch of EZs, they work fine but because of the tap you can't screw them in the GX engines on a BCS, except you unbolt the engine, too bad. But anyway, changing the oil on them is not that messy, so it's ok to deal with the plug for me. Got machines with worse access, where they really shine.

Thank you for your comment. I was unaware of oil extractors. It looks like they'd be a lot less messy. A small one is also less expensive than putting Fumoto or EZ drain valves on 4 different devices. I had ordered a Fumoto valve for my Deere 430 garden tractor, but I think I'll return it and get an oil extractor.

Great item. I put a Fumoto on the F250 and no more oil drips. Now the oil filter is a real mess maker if you are not careful. Someday I'll have two post lift :D

My advice if you are still under warranty forget it!
OTOH I'd use it on stationary engine, but never on a moving one, Heard way too many...it caught on something and the valve opened and I didn't notice.
An oil extractor is much better way.
