Do any of you guys have one of these or know anything about them? I have been looking at one of these to use around the farm and for hunting use. You can get them in gas or electric. I am thinking about the electric version as I have enough gas engines to maintain.

There is a EZGO dealer about 10 miles from me. They have these advertised at just under $5k.

Buggies Gone Wild Golf Cart Forum

There is a guy over there who just picked up a 99 EZGO gas Workhorse for with a dump for $1550. We have 15 acres of hills and was looking for something and when with an electric 2007 EZGO PDS two seater golf cart for $1600 and after 20 miles the batteries will still pull well.

We did upgrade to a second seat/work box and head/tail lights. I had it out in the fields today on 35 degree hills and it pulled just fine. The kids are 13 so I use it with them on building driving skills and it being the PDS model it has run away safety features. If you bring it to a full stop and get off without setting the brake it will not roll backwards or forward faster than 2 MPH and goes to beeping.

I turn 60 next week and have about 20 gas engines too that are running so electric appealled to me. Ours tops out at 13 MPH which is about the same as the tractors so that is fine and we have a place to keep in the dry with the charger setting there ready to go when we park it.

EZGO is the hot ticket in off road stuff as they have worked hard to move beyond just club sales. Check out the EZGO forum and post your questions there too.

I bought an EZGo Medalist 36 V for $2000 a couple years ago. It was clean and sharp with new seat covers, new batteries, fold down windshield, canopy and canvas full enclosure. Wife and grandkids love it. I had a Lightning strike backfeed into the house when I lived in Crosby that didnt bother anything else in the house, but fried the charger. $400 for a used one. Before that one got hooked up, it got a UPS and surge protector installed in front of it. Lots of hunters are going to the electric carts now. Some of them are now 4 WD and will do 30 MPH with jacked up frames and ATV tires they should be unstoppable. Craigslist has them all the time for $4- 6 K depending on how they are outfitted. They arent cheap but they are practically silent in the woods.
