i took the front axel dip stick and drilled 2 1/8" holes in it at teh full and low marks

now to check the level i just remove the dipstick and blow the oil out of the holes and reinsert it and then jus look at the holes if i cant see through them the oil level is ok

sure beats trying to see the oil clinging to the surface

That's a great idea.
I think I will also do that to some other 'dip' sticks that I have around /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Excellent idea. Same thing we do with the Duramax Dipsticks.

Thanks for the tip! One of those things that say "why didn't I think of that", while slapping yourself on the side of the head.
