The air intake for the engine has a hose that comes through the wall just above and to the right of the radiator. I am constantly having to remove the air filter from it's housing and blow out the dirt. Anybody else have this problem? If so is there a work around to prevent it. If I forget, there is a noticeable change in engine power and I am worried about premature wear and tear on the engine. TIA

I've had mine since 2017, I do clean the filter, but not constantly. Maybe the mulch kit I have makes a difference. I see a couple of other things that need improving but that is another story.

I've owned about 4 Fs and never had this issue. The screen in front of the radiator some times requires wiping off if the grass is real dry and dusty. I have rear discharge or mulching kits on all of mine.

The pipe going to the air filter is to the side of the radiator and it's screen. I took the pipe off yesterday to see if that would help. I have the 72" rear discharge deck. It seems to me if the pipe was turned towards the rear of the mower it would be much better...but there is nothing to attach it to that could make that happen.
