F1900 is a Kubota out front mower tractor.
I hopped off the seat while the mower was running and so it shutdown due to the seat safety switch.

Now it won't restart.
Sitting on the seat, PTO disengaged, turn key, lights come on, turn to crank, it clicks but won't crank.

I've tried disconnecting the seat switch and shorting the loom connector in case the seat switch is faulty, no change.
Tried moving the PTO lever back and forth, no help.

PTO seemed to engage / disengage ok before.

Could it be stuck in engaged ?
Is there another way to disengage PTO without using the lever ?

Any other possible causes ?

Thanks, Shane

I have to push in the brake pedal to start mine.
I also blew the grass off of one of my Fs with an air compressor. It wouldn't start. I fiddled with some wires under the rear wheel well and it started. Later I was mowing, turned it off and it wouldn't restart. Eventually found a switch above the rear tire fastened to something. Fiddled with it and knocked the grass off of it and it has started every time since.I have rear discharge decks and the machine gets covered with grass every where. I believe a blade(s) of grass had gotten between the contact (I could see the metal contact lever on the top of the switch) and prevented it making contact.
Course there is always the solinoid going bad possibility. Good luck.

If the solenoid is clicking it's probably not a safety switch as they would stop even that from happening. That would leave a defective solenoid, bad connection, or discharged battery. Hope this helps

If it's just relays clicking when you turn on key switch, please disregard my last post

I tried jump starting, reseating the fuses. Still didn't work. Left it sitting for an hour and tried again, started ok.
Today (2 days after first problem) seat switch tripped again but this time it started immediately. Still a mystery to me, but I got 3 hours of mowing in today. Thanks for the suggestions.
