The F915 project is coming along, if I could get the tires to hold air. Does anyone know how to adjust the forward and reverse pedals? When you let go of the pedals, the tractor wants to slowly roll forward. I know it's a simple adjustment to re-center the control for the hydrostatic trans, but I can't figure out exactly where the adjustment should be made. Is it in the front under the pedal, or further back at the control linkage near the transmission. Thanks for the help! Adrian

ROFL! :laughing::laughing::laughing:

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but You'll never get it perfect...thats my one gripe with the twin touch JD Pedals, too complicated.
After spending too much money on parts I got my F935 tuned & tweaked to where she'll barely move after 5 mins of running, but to say its perfect..nope. Its not just these, my FIL's 955 suffers from the same thing. Happens with age.

Only thing I suggest is to get a service manual, because there's soo much linkages and such, the problem could be anywhere, on mine what I found did the trick was a new spring on the "return to center" rod behind the seat...

That's why they have a PARKING BRAKE. Actually, I had no trouble zeroing out my F935, I took out some of the looseness in the pedal control with some wave washers. This adds a little friction, so the pedals 'stick' in the zeroed position. I also found out (based on another forum here) about properly setting the idle rpm using a photo tachometer. With a little faster idle, there is less 3 cyl engine shake, hence its less likely for the pedals to buzz the transmission control.

Yeah I suppose you could use that...I dont even know if mine works, I dont use it.

VERY good ideas! if mine gets worse then it is, I'll have to remember this. I got mine to where as you mentioned about the idle, the idle shake will make it go into reverse ever so slightly after about 3-5 mins. Which for me isnt an issue in normal use.

Mine had a really bad idle shake, but it went away as soon as I replaced the rubber coupler in the driveline.

I also took apart my brakes. The adjusters are totally manual, they won't self adjust with wear. A little adjustment and they work great.
